Dr. Gil Blankenship is the Founder and Chairman of the MDC Studio, a startup studio dedicated to building medical technology companies from the earliest stages, and a former Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park. He will reflect on his adventurous career (so far) of building multiple technology companies, selling products all over the world, and exiting three companies. He will tell us about how he decided to start these companies, grew and eventually sold them, and the lessons he learned. Now building numerous health and medical technology companies through the MDC Studio, he will provide his perspectives on the med tech scene in Maryland. Dr. Blankenship completed his BS, MS, and PhD in Electrical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
