On Thursday, April 17th, UMBC’s Alex. Brown Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation hosted the 2025 Cangialosi Business Innovation Competition (CBIC) Finale, where 10 incredible UMBC student teams pitched their ventures to a panel of expert judges.

The Cangialosi Business Innovation Competition, established by Greg Cangialosi (UMBC ’96), features two tracks: Technology and Innovation, and Social Impact, with cash prizes for winners in each.

Congratulations to this year’s winners!
– Technology & Innovation Track: RealVue, Strike Sense, and Elastic Energy
– Social Impact Track: Collegiate Commerce, KINTSUGI, and CeeVlo

The popular competition provides UMBC student entrepreneurs with real-world experience, pairing them with mentors and connecting them to the local entrepreneurial ecosystem. Winners receive valuable support, including free legal and accounting services, a six-month affiliate membership at the bwtech, and guidance for fundraising and pitch development.

We look forward to working with these budding entrepreneurs as they take their new ventures to the next level at bwtech!
