WILL’s CORE VALUES: Always be useful, seek team wins, grow, and give back.

Will’s long-time love of bwtech has taken many forms, first as a tenant, then board member, investor, mentor, and Strategic Advisor to bwtech. Today, in his newest role of Entrepreneur in Residence, Will brings decades of experience driving impact across public, private, and nonprofit sectors. As a leader who thrives in complexity, Will is recognized for building cross-sector partnerships that generate shared value and long-term results for all stakeholders. The bwtech clients will engage Will across specialties, including strategy, economic development, and government relations.

Will is a co-founder of Impact Principals, a Maryland/DC strategic consultancy focused on delivering double-bottom-line outcomes for executive teams, boards, and investors across North America. He has led high-performing teams in corporate, small business, government, and nonprofit settings, with deep expertise in economic and workforce development, technology, public affairs, higher education, and social impact strategy.

Will helps organizations set, clarify, amplify, and execute complex strategies. For over seven years, Will led Baltimore County’s team of economic development, workforce, and tourism professionals, overseeing a $19 million budget, three business units, and a staff of 60. He has also spearheaded transformative projects, including the redevelopment of Tradepoint Atlantic, North America’s largest multi-modal logistics hub, major headquarters projects for Guinness Open Gate and McCormick HQ, and expansion projects for Stanley Black and Decker, Under Armour, and Amazon.

A tech entrepreneur himself, Will has co-founded dAdA digital and Circonomy, a global circular economy service firm, and was selected as a global Kernel Fellow for his work at the intersection of decentralized tech and social enterprise. He also serves on numerous civic boards throughout Greater Baltimore and has taught at Towson University’s College of Business. Will is an alumnus of Johns Hopkins, UMBC, and Rutgers, and Acumen’s Human-Centered Design Thinking.

We’re excited to have Will continue supporting our community in his new EiR role!
