Uplift Geosystems Participates in NSF National I-Corps Program to Accelerate Sustainable Innovations in Refining Technology
Uplift Geosystems, an early-stage startup at bwtech, focused on acid-base recycling technologies, is proud to announce its acceptance into the National Science Foundation (NSF) Innovation Corps (I-Corps) program. This program will support Uplift’s efforts to advance sustainable acid recycling technology for metals extraction, a breakthrough solution aimed at reducing environmental impact in the metals refining space to enable reliable and affordable carbon removal with costs offset by critical materials production.
As part of the program, Uplift will conduct an intensive customer discovery campaign over the next few months, engaging with at least 100 key customers and industry stakeholders. Uplift will receive $50,000 in funding to attend industry-leading conferences and conduct critical site visits. Uplift’s participation will be led by technical lead, Daniel Nothaft (CEO), and entrepreneurial lead Kaveh Issapour (COO), alongside invaluable mentorship from John Rezaiyan and Professor Thomas Mallouk.
Uplift will showcase its innovations at several key conferences during the I-Corps program, including:
- PDAC 2025 (Toronto, March 2-5) – The Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) Convention is the world’s premier mining event, attracting professionals from across the global resource sector. PDAC Convention
