Career & Internship Fairs – UMBC Career Center hosts several on-campus career fair events each year to provide employers with the opportunity to connect with UMBC’s talented students.
Handshake – a free job and internship platform that allows easier access for employers to post and manage open positions. Handshake offers broader visibility by giving employers the option to post their opportunities to more than one participating school at a time. You must have a Handshake account to connect with UMBC student talent.

Alex. Brown Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation – Through a gift from The Alex. Brown Foundation, this center helps students interested in entrepreneurship gain targeted expertise through internships, competitions to test their skills, accelerate a business concept through the Idea Lab, attend courses and lectures, writing business plans, and networking with regional business leaders.
Alumni Engagement – The Retriever Alumni community is 85,000-strong and doing amazing work around the world, and right here in our community. The Office of Alumni Engagement works to bring alumni together, provide a bridge to the campus, and collaborate with partners.
Retriever Athletic Center (The RAC) – UMBC Recreation offers many amenities at a newly renovated facility, including exercise equipment, weight room, indoor track, swimming pools, basketball courts, tennis courts, locker rooms and group fitness classes. All employees of bwtech companies are eligible for discounted rates.
The Albin O. Kuhn Library and Gallery – Holds more than 1 million books, 10,000 periodicals, and offers access to the holdings from 15 libraries of the University System of Maryland. Its special collections of national significance include photography, scientific archives, science fiction, graphic satire, Maryland and utopian literature.
Y Preschool at UMBC – UMBC, in partnership with Y of Central Maryland offers quality instruction to children 2-5 years of age and provides development opportunities for children.
