Catonsville, MD August 16, 2022 – bwtech@UMBC is proud to announce they are currently accepting applications for Cohort 4 of the SCALEUP Maryland™ program which will start late September 2022.

The virtual program focuses C-level leaders to create an executable Strategic Growth Plan while increasing expertise and expanding innovative and necessary operational tools. SCALEUP Maryland™ program is taught by seasoned entrepreneurs and business development leaders to help startups reach targeted milestones. The program is provided by bwtech@UMBC Research and Technology Park and supported by the Maryland Department of Commerce and T.Rowe Price Foundation, with experts from TCV Growth Partners. Companies with revenues of up to $10M across multiple industries are encouraged to apply.
The program focuses on five (5) key elements to scale a company: Leadership, Human Capital, Sales and Marketing, Finance, and Operations. For four months twelve (12) committed C-level leaders will meet to discuss their previous assignment, share cycles of learning and develop an action plan which will impact the company’s growth. Components of the sessions cover Examples of Sessions:
• Leadership – Building Trust, Team Building, Communication, Mentoring
• Finance – Understanding and Managing Cash Flow, Inventory
• Sales & Marketing – Value Proposition, Positioning, Product/Market Fit
• Acquiring and Managing Resources – Purchasing and Supply Chain
The program team has developed a curriculum which goes into depth on these aspects, aligning the coursework with the real world experiences of the participating companies which allows them to develop strategies for change and growth. Companies with revenues of up to $10M across multiple industries are encouraged to apply before the deadline September 9, 2022.
