Program Overview
The STARTUP Accelerator™, powered by bwtech and Innovation Maryland, and facilitated by FounderTrac, is a Maryland-based virtual program designed to help founders accelerate growth. By bringing together expert mentorship, proven frameworks, and peer collaboration, the program equips startup leaders with the tools they need to build scalable, sustainable businesses.
Key Dates:
- Application Deadline: December 12, 2025
- Program Start Date: January 28, 2026
- Program Meets: Every other Wednesday, 5-6:30 pm, with “off weeks” reserved for assignments and Mentor meetings.
- Program End Date & Cohort Showcase: May 6, 2026 (Virtual!)
How the Program Works
The program is based on a detailed understanding of the five key elements of growth: leadership, marketing, sales, operations, and finance – the pillars that drive revenue and profitability. During each session, facilitators, mentors, and fellow cohort members will guide, challenge, and help uncover specific paths to grow your business and become investment-ready.
There are six formal sessions, one every two weeks. The off weeks are reserved for working on assignments and meeting with mentors. The program ends with a virtual showcase event where you present your pitch to an audience of potential investors and influential industry leaders, with curated introductions and matchmaking.

Application Process
- Submit Application: Complete our comprehensive application, including business overview, team information, and growth goals
- Initial Review: Our selection committee evaluates applications based on business potential, team strength, and program fit
- Interview Process: Shortlisted candidates participate in virtual or in-person interviews
- Final Selection: Cohort 2 participants announced by January 20, 2025
