SCALEUP Maryland Alum Spotlight
March 2026 – Congratulations to Kerstin Haskell, a recent graduate of bwtech’s SCALEUP Maryland Program (Cohort 10, 2025), and President of World BioHazTec, on an incredible run of recognition!
Kerstin’s company, World BioHazTec, was recently named as a finalist for the Maryland Tech Council’s 2026 ICON Awards (Life Sciences Innovation). In addition, Kerstin received the 2026 Maryland International Business Leadership Award from the World Trade Center Institute (WTCI) and the 2025 Diane Fleming Leadership Award from ABSA International. She will also be featured in an upcoming episode of her alma mater’s podcast, Northeastern Next.
We are so proud to have Kerstin as a SCALEUP Maryland Alum (Cohort 10, 2025). Her leadership continues to drive meaningful change in Maryland and beyond, and we can’t wait to see what she accomplishes next!
