bwtech@UMBC is thrilled to welcome Hakim Dyer as our newest Entrepreneur in Residence (EiR)! With over 35 years of experience in high-stakes finance, executive leadership, and strategic coaching, Hakim brings a laser-focused, no-nonsense approach to helping founders move from stuck to scaling.
A seasoned strategist, investor, and advisor, Hakim has worked with entrepreneurs, creatives, and executives who’ve built something real but feel stuck. Whether it’s slowed growth, team fatigue, or blurred vision, Hakim’s specialty is helping leaders cut through the noise, identify real roadblocks, and chart a clear, actionable path forward.

- Cut the noise and zero in on strategic, structural, or personal blockers
- Focus their fire by removing distractions and surface-level hacks
- Build bold, actionable strategies that leaders can execute confidently
- Drive real traction with aligned teams and a grounded plan
