Following the success of last year’s cohort, the Maryland Department of Commerce will provide $25K to extend the SCALEUP Maryland program at bwtech@UMBC. The 4th cohort is set to start in the fall and will run for four months.
A number of programs exist to help people start businesses, but there are few that focus on helping companies that have reached an inflection point. SCALEUP Maryland typically focuses on helping growth-stage companies that have between $300,000 and $5 million in revenues.
There is no cost for companies to participate in SCALEUP Maryland. Applications will open in the fall for the next cohort.
The SCALEUP Maryland cohort meets once a week to focus on a specific topic, such as understanding and managing cash flow, building trust, mentorship, purchasing and supply chains. Participants are given homework assignments, as well as the opportunity to meet one-on-one with business experts and advisers in an office hours setting.
If you’re interested in applying for the 4th cohort of SCALEUP Maryland please reach out to our team on the contact page of the bwtech@UMBC website.
