Chris White, a serial entrepreneur with over two decades of experience in healthcare technology, leveraged his Stanford neuroscience research into a successful career in the industry. Following engagements at startups where he fulfilled various roles including technical project management, business development, strategy, and product development, Chris transitioned into his current more multifaceted role.
Today, Chris wears many hats, serving as an investor, fractional executive, volunteer mentor, and owner of PreSquared, an AI healthcare company focused on patient-level predictive algorithms. He also provides strategic guidance as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at bwtech, a Digital Health Network Advisor for Johns Hopkins Technology Ventures, and a Venture Mentor with the Maryland Tech Council.
Drawing from his extensive expertise in strategy and business development, Chris served as the VP of New Markets at Audacious Inquiry, where he spearheaded impactful initiatives aimed at enhancing population health outcomes. Under his leadership, the company witnessed substantial growth in partnerships, ultimately leading to a successful acquisition.
Before this, Chris spent 16 years at FEi Systems, where he played a pivotal role in scaling the company’s revenue from $6 million to $90 million as the Chief Development Officer. In this capacity, he oversaw innovations across the spectrum, from research and development to product launch, managing business development, and executing statewide implementations.
Chris’s professional journey has spanned various sectors, including health IT, Medicaid, state health agencies, academia, and startups. He thrives on challenging conventions to drive meaningful improvement. Known for his collaborative leadership style, Chris excels in managing cross-functional product development teams, implementing cutting-edge solutions, and nurturing the next generation of health-tech innovators. He serves as a venture mentor with bwtech@UMBC and the Maryland Tech Council.
A proud graduate of UMBC in 1997, Chris exemplifies a commitment to excellence and continuous advancement in the health-tech industry. Outside of his professional endeavors, he is the proud father of four and enjoys especially nerdy hobbies, especially those that involve motors.
