Celebrating Growth: bwtech’s SCALEUP Maryland Program Wraps Another Successful Cohort
On May 6, 2025, bwtech proudly concluded the 9th cohort of our Signature Program, SCALEUP Maryland, an intensive growth accelerator designed to help Maryland-based companies scale faster, smarter, and more sustainably.
Over 12 weeks, participating CEOs engaged in virtual hands-on workshops, one-on-one mentorship, and peer-to-peer learning, all centered around helping them overcome growth plateaus, refine their business strategies, and execute ambitious business goals. From mastering sales and marketing to strengthening operational infrastructure and leadership, the program guided CEOs and executive teams through key growth challenges with expert support.
The program culminated with an in-person event where participants presented their newly developed Strategic Business Plans, received program completion certificates, and enjoyed a celebratory dinner to commemorate this important milestone.
“Our mission with SCALEUP Maryland is to meet companies at a critical stage of growth and help them build the systems, confidence, and momentum they need to move to the next level,” said Marjie Cota, Director of Entrepreneurial Services at bwtech. “This year’s participants brought passion, ingenuity, and the drive to keep building, and it’s been an honor to support their journeys.”
SCALEUP Maryland is just one example of bwtech’s commitment to fostering a vibrant, inclusive economy by supporting entrepreneurs across all stages of growth. By leveraging its connection to a statewide network of expert industry leaders, bwtech provides startups and scaling companies with the tools, connections, and resources they need to thrive.
Thank you to our sponsors, the Maryland Department of Commerce, T. Rowe Price, Baltimore County, and the University of Maryland Baltimore County, for supporting this transformative journey!
Congratulations to Cohort 9—we can’t wait to see what you scale next!
